‘8’3’ is the new single from Revival Season, a project formed of GA-based producer Jonah Swilley and GA rapper Brandon ‘Bez’ Evans. It’s a gritty, grainy track that allows a grungy guitar riff to collide with a trappy drum beat, forming something hypnotically groovy. The gut-punching beat is the perfect accompaniment to Bez’s hyper-focused flow. In their own words: “This is a filthy smudge of a garage rock riff that drives hard against a rhythm track that sounds stoned to say the least - “8’3” is rock’n’roll music fed into an ultrasonic Funkadelic blender; heavy duty hip-hop boiled back down to some of modern music’s most basic, primal ingredients.
